Julia and her dog Walter have always had an extraordinary bond. The two BFFs share a very special connection: They were both born deaf and they do everything together. So naturally, Julia is teaching her pup sign language.
Julia’s mom Chrissy explained that since Julia couldn’t hear her voice as a baby, she smelled her mom’s neck instead. Incredibly, Walter did the same exact thing the first time she held him. It was fate. As soon as they knew Walter was deaf, they realized he and Julia were meant to be together.
Chrissy said:
I remember just looking at him and I just – I knew that he was meant to be ours.
Julia and her mom adopted Walter from the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA and Julia and Walter have been inseparable ever since.
“They’re the same,” Chrissy explained. Every day, Julia and Walter play together in the yard after Walter patiently waits and “helps” Julia with her homework.
Julia has been helping Walter learn sign language, and Walter’s a really fast learner! So far Julia has taught Walter “sit,” “water,” “food,” and “I love you” in sign language.
The Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA and 1620 Media just knew that they had to make a video of Julia and Walter’s incredible bond. There’s no denying the love between them. The video makes the point that:
Whenever you feel different or lonely remember Walter and Julia. There’s someone out there for everyone.
Check out their beautiful friendship and be sure to SHARE this great story:
